Little Twig
A musical tale

Review:
The sound of a gong signals the beginning of some magic. A fairly-tale sorcerer brings life to a little twig broken off a tree by stormy winds. Little Twig begins to wonder about her own identity, and thus sets off on a journey to find answers to her questions. Little Twig meets Gomba (“Mushroom”), who informs her that she looks a lot like people. Therefore, Little Twig goes on to find people. She is soon joined by three others on the journey, who are all in search of remedies for their shortcomings inflicted on them by humans. Dani the Duck wishes to find a cure to his squint, his former enemy Berci the Frog longs to leave his unstoppable laughter behind, while Lisping Mouse is looking to receive new teeth. By the end of their journey all of their wishes come true, and they express their happiness through a cheerful song. The Sorcerer, who appears throughout the story as either a painter, a tailor, or a dentist, comforts Little Twig, and reveals her place in the world of the great forest. “Let us go, let us go, the beautiful world awaits us”, the characters thus take their leave of the audience.
